When I was just a little girl, I asked my mother ... 'What will I be?
  Will I be pretty,
    Will I be rich?'
Here's what she said to me..."

And although she didn't actually break into song, the message was there:

"Que Sera, my dear - the future's not our see, whatever will be, will be."
One thing is certain though - she never foresaw alpacas. She, for sure, never said "Some fine day you will discover the joy of raising alpacas."

But, there you are...When people ask me now "How on earth did you get into alpacas? I have actually been known to break into song - Que Sera, Sera - but I'm thinking to myself,
'I've just always been lucky.'

Evie is just everything we hoped for in our first Vito offspring.  She is a beautiful mixture of her mom's coloring and her dad's fabulous conformation and presence.  Both of her parents have wonderful fiber characteristics and she is carry all of that forward.  She is incredibly fine, bright and crimpy with great coverage, fleece structure and staple length. Even her leg fiber looks good! I love watching people's reaction when they first touch her - from folks just learning about these wonderful creatures to color checkers and show judges - everybody comes back for a second touch. She also has a personality that just won't quit! She was talking and giving kisses before her back feet hit the ground and is filled with such zest it's hard to believe.  She caused quite a stir on the show circuit as you can plainly see.  Several judges commented on her highly evolved fleece - she was a real joy to show.  But mostly she is just a joy to know - so sweet and easy to handle.

Evie is for sale although it will be really hard to see her go.  As gorgeous as she is, our business plan requires that we sell her.  Evie is currently breeding to Colorado Mezcal - a beautiful dense fawn male who has held a micron of 22 at eleven years of age (up from 18 as a juvi!!)  Both of Evie's parents come from stock with this desirable trait and we are committed to preserving that quality to the best of our ability.  Evie also sells with a free breeding to her fabulous sire, Altair's Vito - a champion in his own right -  for one of your other females.
