And although she didn't actually break into song, the message was there:

"Que Sera, my dear - the future's not our see, whatever will be, will be."
One thing is certain though - she never foresaw alpacas. She, for sure, never said "Some fine day you will discover the joy of raising alpacas."

But, there you are...When people ask me now "How on earth did you get into alpacas? I have actually been known to break into song - Que Sera, Sera - but I'm thinking to myself, 'I've just always been lucky.'

Golosina is our sweet little tidbit, a Huacaya produced by two Suris - just like Vito's Grandmother.  She has a fine, extremely bright fleece, very long staple, and great coverage and conformation.  We are delighted to have her and feel she is a great addition to our herd.  She is confirmed pregnant with a Vito cria and is due fall of 2009.

We took Golly to the NM Fair and she placed fourth.  The judge commented on her fine silky fiber. Golly's long staple makes her appear denser than she actually is, and we fear that was the shortcoming that placed her down in her class.  We have bred her to Altair's Vito who tends to pass his magnificent density on to his cria and our hope is, of course, a cria whose fleece manifests her wonderful handle in dense, abundant, well-organized bundles.
